Come Golf With Us!
Blue Heron Golf Club welcomes you to this beautiful, picturesque, full length nine hole par 33 golf course located in the heart of Lanark County, Ontario, 6 km from Lanark, 15 minutes from Perth, 40 minutes from Smith Falls and 1 hour from Ottawa, Ontario. The course is often called one of the most underrated golf courses in Ontario. Blue Heron Golf Club is always open to the public but does offer membership options as well!
Cut out of Lanark County's famous Maple Sugar Bush, the tree lined fairways and elevation changes are a challenge for all levels of golfers. The North Creek meanders through the Blue Heron Golf Club coming into play on four of the nine holes. The view from the tee on the signature ninth hole is almost picture perfect. The green is framed with trees on the right and sand on the left, a must see in person.
The newly renovated Clubhouse at Blue Heron Golf Club offers a perfect place to extend your golfing experience. From an open deck to a newly renovated screened in porch or our air conditioned Clubhouse, our team is anxious to serve you our new menu and a frosty beverage.
OHvation Customer Service Award
Blue Heron Golf Club recently received an OHvation award from Ontario's Highlands Tourism Organization (OHTO). These awards acknowledge tourism businesses and organizations for their customer service excellence. It is a great honour to receive this award.
A Budding Beauty
Blue Heron Golf Club was recently profiled on the flagstick.com website:
"The golf course business in Canada can be a challenging one. On top of a short season there is plenty of competition. When you factor in a location further away from a big city, you have to imagine that it takes a lot to keep people coming to play your course. That's exactly the case for the husband and wife team of Dennis and Joan Sobil. The charming pair have been welcoming guests to their Blue Heron Golf Course near Lanark, Ontario since they took over the operation in 2010. The place hasn't been the same since."
Blue Heron Golf Club was voted the fifth "Most Underrated Golf Course" by Flagstick Magazine's 2012 Readers Choice Awards. These awards are strictly based on the opinions of Flagstick Magazine readers who submitted ballots by mail or online, in several categories. See the Flagstick website for the full list of winners.
